Service Technician
Job Summary
The Service Technician at RWE Design Build is a hands-on field position responsible for completing service warranty repair and maintenance work at client locations. This role works independently and with project and operations teams to diagnose issues complete quality repairs communicate with clients and document work.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform assigned service warranty repair and general handyman work at client locations.
Troubleshoot issues identify root causes and determine whether work can be completed directly or requires a licensed or specialty trade.
Complete minor carpentry drywall and painting repairs.
Complete basic plumbing and electrical repairs within the employees training and authorization.
Repair doors hardware fixtures cages and kennels.
Assist project and field teams with complex or time-sensitive assignments and provide coverage as needed.
Customer & Client Relations
Communicate findings recommended solutions timing and job status to clients and internal team members.
Work carefully in occupied facilities minimize disruption and maintain strong customer relationships.
Organize and manage assigned work to ensure jobs are completed on time within scope and to client expectations.
Coordinate the materials tools and equipment needed for each assignment.
Document labor materials photos findings and completed work accurately and promptly.
Escalate scope changes specialty-trade needs and required follow-up to the appropriate manager
Ensure all work meets company quality standards applicable requirements and client expectations.
Follow safety procedures use required personal protective equipment and maintain clean organized hazard-free job sites.
Report safety concerns property damage and unresolved service issues promptly.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in construction facilities maintenance field service or a similar trade-based role.
- Working knowledge of commercial construction repair and maintenance processes.
- Demonstrated proficiency with hand and power tools and general repair work including carpentry drywall painting basic plumbing and electrical doors hardware and fixtures.
- Strong troubleshooting time management and independent decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to travel to job locations throughout the Tampa area and to other locations as business needs require.
