Service Technician

McLane Ford of Fredericksburg is seeking a Ford Certified Service Technician to join our growing family-owned dealership in the heart of Texas Hill Country! We are looking for a motivated technician with a strong mechanical background who isFord-certified and ready to step into a stable long-term career.

Commute to Fredericksburg is required.

• Perform work specified on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership standards

• Test-drive vehicles and inspect components/systems using diagnostic tools and specialized service equipment

• Diagnose maintain and repair automotive systems including:

  • Engine

  • Transmission

  • Electrical steering

  • Suspension

  • Brakes

  • Air conditioning

  • And more

• Communicate findings clearly with the Service Advisor and provide time estimates for additional repairs

• Execute warranty repairs following manufacturer specifications

• 2 years of Service Technician experience preferred

• High school diploma or equivalent

• ASE Certification preferred

• Ford Certification required

• Prior experience at a Ford dealership strongly preferred

• B-Level qualifications including Diagnostic Electrical and Engine Repair

• Excellent hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

• Positive friendly attitude with eagerness to learn

• Strong customer service skills and basic computer competency

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic team-oriented environment

• Willingness to learn new technologies repair procedures and specs

• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
