Service Technician

Job Description:

Position Overview:Orbitalum an ITW company currently has an opening for aServiceTechnician. This dynamic person will be expected to perform a variety of operations involving equipment assemblycomponentreplacement inventory managementtechnical trainingshipping/receivingand computer related tasks.

Essential Job Functions:

• Perform computer related tasks such as order entry inventory transactions and shipping paperwork.

• Responsible for rental repairs including installing replacement parts to rebuild rentalequipment.

• Maintain rental facility inventory and the equipment needed to test machines.

• Log equipment in and out of the system based on customer info provided.

• Able to complete repair estimates for customer-owned equipment.

• Communicate with the sales team to understand customer requirements.

• Keep area clean and perform all duties in a safe effective and efficient manner.

• Additional duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Strong communication skills

• Problem-solve as necessary

• Ability to work independently

• Comfortable managing multiple tasks and reprioritizing as needed.

• HS diploma GED and/or 1 year of relevant experience

• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications

• Aptitude with various power tools preferred

• Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs

• Basic computer skills/knowledge of Word and Excel computer programs

• Occasional travel for training including overnight stays may be required

Hourly Rate:

$28-$30 based on experience.
