Toyota of Bourbonnais is seeking a skilled and dependable Automotive Service Technician to join our service department.

The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic and repair skills a commitment to quality workmanship and the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment. Previous Toyota or Lexus experience is preferred but not required.

• Diagnose maintain and repair customer vehicles in accordance with manufacturer specifications and dealership standards.

• Perform repairs and maintenance services accurately and efficiently as outlined on repair orders.

• Conduct vehicle inspections and identify necessary maintenance or repairs.

• Utilize diagnostic tools electronic testing equipment and specialty service tools to troubleshoot vehicle concerns.

• Test-drive vehicles as necessary to diagnose concerns and verify completed repairs.

• Communicate effectively with Service Advisors regarding vehicle conditions recommended repairs and estimated completion times.

• Perform warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer requirements.

• Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment.

• Follow dealership safety procedures and manufacturer service guidelines.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Minimum of two years of automotive service technician experience.

• Toyota or Lexus experience preferred but not required.

• ASE certification preferred.

• Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostic repair and maintenance procedures.

• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment and automotive specialty tools.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Valid drivers license and driving record that meets company insurability requirements.

• Commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Pay: $33.30 to $51.30 hourly

This is a union-represented position covered by a collective bargaining agreement. Applicable wages benefits and certain terms and conditions of employment are governed by that agreement.
