Job Description

IDS is seeking a Service Support Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support Mission Command Exercises. The selected candidate will provide operational expertise support exercise planning and execution activities and assist with the integration of exercise scenarios into the SOMTC training environment.

Key Duties

Support Mission Command Exercise planning coordination and execution activities.

Formulate and integrate exercise scenarios into the SOMTC training environment or exercise.

Provide subject matter expertise based on military operational experience.

Support exercise preparation and coordination requirements.

Contribute to mission command training objectives.

Requirements

Secret clearance.

Associate degree. Five years of related military experience may substitute for academic degree. Or two years of experience researching planning preparing coordinating and executing Mission Command Exercises may substitute for academic degree.

Graduate of a U.S. Military Officers Education System course above entry level training (e.g. Captain Career Course Intermediate Level Education Basic Warrant Officer Course Warrant Officer Advance Course or equivalent).

Or graduate of one of the following U.S. military Noncommissioned Officer Education System courses: Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course First Sergeant Course or Sergeants Major Course.

Ability to formulate and integrate exercise scenarios into the SOMTC training environment or exercise.

Assignment to Special Operations Forces (Special Forces Military Information Support Operations Civil Affairs Ranger Regiment Special Operations Aviation Special Mission Units) or assignment to Military Intelligence Logistics Corps or Field Artillery.

Preferred Qualifications

One year of experience researching planning preparing coordinating and executing Mission Command Exercises.
