About the Opportunity

Ocean Mazda Roswell is seeking a dependable energetic and customer-focused Service Porter / Service Lot Attendant to join our Service Department.

The Service Porter plays an important role in the customer experience by assisting with the movement organization and care of customer and dealership vehicles while supporting Service Advisors Technicians and Service Management with the daily flow of the department.

We are looking for someone who is reliable professional organized and comfortable working in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers arriving in the service drive in a courteous and professional manner.
• Safely move park and retrieve customer vehicles throughout the dealership.
• Maintain an organized and efficient flow of vehicles through the service drive and designated parking areas.
• Retrieve customer vehicles promptly when service is completed.
• Stage vehicles for Service Advisors and Technicians as needed.
• Transport vehicles between the service drive shop parking areas detail area and other designated locations.
• Assist with keeping the service drive clean organized and presentable.
• Maintain proper control and handling of customer vehicle keys.
• Assist with tagging and identifying vehicles when required.
• Fuel vehicles as directed.
• Transport vehicles to vendors other dealership locations or designated facilities when authorized.
• Assist with customer transportation or dealership errands when assigned.
• Check vehicles for obvious damage when receiving or moving them and promptly report concerns to management.
• Protect customer vehicles and personal property while vehicles are in the dealerships care.
• Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of customer waiting and service-related exterior areas as assigned.
• Support Service Advisors Technicians and Service Management with reasonable vehicle-related requests.
• Follow all dealership vehicle-handling safety and company procedures.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Service Management.

Qualifications

• Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record required.
• Must be comfortable safely driving and parking a variety of vehicles.
• Previous dealership service porter valet automotive or customer-service experience preferred but not required.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Professional attitude and appearance.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple vehicle movements throughout the day.
• Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position including prolonged walking and standing and frequent movement throughout the dealership property.
• Must be able to meet applicable pre-employment requirements.
