We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Service Billing Specialist to support the accurate and timely billing of service work performed across multiple locations throughout New this fast-paced role you will play a critical part in ensuring service orders are properly costed billed and compliant with applicable tax and prevailing wage requirements. Process and manage high-volume weekly service order billing across multiple service groups.
- Ensure accurate service order costing using standard cost accounting methodologies.
- Review and interpret service agreements to validate billing accuracy and compliance.
- Analyze and resolve billing discrepancies through research and collaboration with internal teams.
- Apply state-specific tax regulations and prevailing wage requirements to service work performed throughout New England.
- Maintain detailed records and ensure timely invoice generation.
- Partner with service operations and accounting teams to support efficient billing processes.
Contribute to continuous process improvements that enhance accuracy and customer satisfaction.
- Associate or bachelors degree in business Accounting Finance or a related field.
- 2-3 years of billing bookkeeping accounting support and customer service experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principles.
- Experience working with ERP or accounting software such as SAP Oracle JD Edwards or similar platforms.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office particularly Excel Outlook and Word.
