Job Summary
The Third Measure Server is responsible for delivering sophisticated attentive and personalized food and beverage service within the hotels intimate cocktail destination. The Server will demonstrate strong knowledge of cocktails spirits wine and culinary offerings while creating memorable experiences through genuine hospitality and thoughtful recommendations.
The ideal candidate is polished personable knowledgeable and confident with a passion for hospitality and the ability to thrive in an elevated late-night environment.
Responsibilities:
- Consistently provide warm polished professional and engaging service
- Welcome guests and establish a genuine connection throughout their Third Measure experience
- Maintain complete knowledge of Third Measures food and beverage offerings
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of cocktails spirits wine champagne beer and non-alcoholic beverages
- Maintain knowledge of cocktail ingredients preparation techniques flavor profiles and presentation
- Assist guests with beverage selections and provide thoughtful recommendations
- Demonstrate knowledge of New Orleans cocktail culture and traditions
- Maintain detailed knowledge of menu ingredients preparation methods allergens dietary considerations and daily offerings
- Confidently guide guests through food and beverage selections
- Provide appropriate food and beverage pairing recommendations
- Accurately take food and beverage orders and communicate special requests allergies and modifications
- Deliver food and beverages promptly while maintaining quality presentation temperature and timing
- Anticipate guest needs and provide proactive personalized service
- Maintain awareness of VIPs repeat guests special occasions and guest preferences
- Provide discreet and attentive service to VIP and high-profile guests
- Coordinate closely with Bartenders Barbacks Runners Hosts Culinary and Management
- Maintain clean organized and properly stocked service stations
- Clear and reset tables according to Third Measure standards
- Present guest checks and accurately process payments
- Follow all cash-handling and credit procedures
- Follow all responsible alcohol service procedures and applicable Louisiana regulations
- Handle guest concerns professionally and utilize appropriate service recovery procedures
- Participate in pre-shift meetings tastings cocktail education and training
- Assist with opening and closing duties stocking cleaning and side work
- Maintain knowledge of Fairmont New Orleans amenities dining outlets events and local attractions
- Maintain a polished and professional appearance
- Uphold the luxury hospitality standards and distinctive atmosphere of Third Measure
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications :
- Previous Server experience preferred
- Previous luxury hotel fine-dining restaurant upscale lounge or cocktail bar experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of food cocktails spirits wine and beverage service
- Knowledge of craft cocktails and New Orleans cocktail culture is an asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong guest service and relationship-building abilities
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to remain polished discreet and composed in a high-volume environment
- Professional appearance and polished demeanor required
- Previous POS experience preferred
- Alcohol awareness certification preferred
- Food safety certification required or ability to obtain
- Ability to work late-night schedules evenings weekends holidays and extended shifts
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must meet applicable Louisiana requirements for alcohol service
