POSITION SUMMARY
As a Server you will provide exceptional dining service to residents and guests in the dining room and at banquet or catering events. You will serve food and beverages in a friendly professional and efficient manner while maintaining high standards of customer service sanitation and hospitality. This role helps create a welcoming dining experience that meets and exceeds resident and guest expectations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Set tables and maintain assigned workstations in a clean organized and orderly manner.
Take food and beverage orders and provide prompt courteous service to residents and guests.
Deliver food and beverages accurately and efficiently.
Clear dishes during and after meal service and reset tables for the next seating.
Answer resident and guest questions regarding menu items and dining options.
Assist with plating and portioning of appetizers salads soups beverages and desserts as needed.
Maintain a high level of customer service and hospitality for residents and their guests.
Welcome and acknowledge all residents and guests in a professional and friendly manner.
Anticipate resident and guest needs and respond promptly to requests.
Report concerns service issues or resident complaints to the Dining Room Manager.
Maintain safe and sanitary conditions in all work areas in accordance with food safety regulations and department standards.
Maintain personal hygiene standards and comply with department dress code requirements.
Complete assigned cleaning and side-work duties.
Perform opening and closing duties including vacuuming refilling table condiments and ensuring tables and chairs are properly arranged.
Assist food runners and kitchen staff with food delivery as needed.
Maintain knowledge of table assignments station numbers room capacity hours of operation and proper table setups.
Assist with banquet catering and special event service as assigned.
Attend in-service training and education sessions as required.
Participate in resident association and food committee meetings when requested.
Support the Dining Room Manager and other food service areas as needed.
Consistently maintain a clean organized and professional dining environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB DETAILS
Pay Rate: $ 21.80 per hour
Hours: Full-Time
Days Off: Tuesday Wednesday
Work Days-Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday Monday
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience serving in a hotel restaurant club senior living community or fine dining environment preferred.
Ability to read write understand and follow instructions in English.
Ability to communicate effectively with residents guests visitors and team members.
Ability to explain menu items answer questions coordinate meal service and accommodate special requests.
Ability to work collaboratively with residents guests families supervisors and coworkers.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Professional courteous tactful and service-oriented demeanor.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work indoors and outdoors as needed.
Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds independently.
Ability to push and pull bus carts weighing up to 50 pounds independently.
Ability to bend stoop reach and maintain balance throughout the workday.
Fine motor skills with good visual and auditory acuity.
