We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn contribute and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
Role Type: Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)
Overview:
A Server Assistant (Busser/Food Runner) supports the service team by ensuring guests receive prompt attentive and efficient service.
Key responsibilities typically include:
Guest Service:
- Assist servers in delivering food and beverages to guests.
- Refill water bread and other complimentary items.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and communicate needs to servers or managers.
- Maintain a friendly professional and positive attitude.
Dining Room Setup & Maintenance:
- Set and reset tables according to club or restaurant standards.
- Clear and clean tables efficiently between courses and after guests depart.
- Polish silverware glassware and service equipment.
- Ensure dining areas remain clean organized and presentable throughout service.
Food Running:
- Deliver food accurately and promptly from the kitchen to guests.
- Verify plate presentation and ensure correct orders are served.
- Communicate with kitchen staff regarding special requests and dietary restrictions.
Operational Support:
- Assist with opening and closing side work duties.
- Stock service stations with necessary supplies.
- Transport dishes glassware and utensils to designated cleaning areas.
- Support banquet and special event setups as required.
Teamwork & Safety:
- Work closely with servers bartenders and culinary staff to provide exceptional guest experiences.
- Follow all health sanitation and safety standards.
- Maintain knowledge of club policies and service procedures.
- Assist in training new team members when requested.
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to stand walk lift and carry trays for extended periods.
- Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
