In this pivotal role you will orchestrate the creation of next-generation sensing including Health Optical Touch and Force wireless power and haptics technologies shaping the technical landscape across Apples product portfolio to deliver an industry-leading user experience. You will lead the development and integration of advanced sensing systems collaborating closely with world-class suppliers and multi-functional teams across an Engineering Program Manager you will drive the full lifecycle of sensing systems and featuresfrom concept to specification characterization to integration and validation at both module and system this capacity you will serve as the primary bridge for cross-functional communication and along with the engineering manager be the face of the program. Lead and drive alignment/communications between multi-functional teams including electrical mechanical process reliability software and firmware engineeringnDefine the program plan/schedule manage program execution and inter-dependencies and proactively adapt and communicate as new challenges emergenDeliver executive communication/presentations and drive the decision-making processnDrive engineering design by leading failure analysis activities performance validation requirements and testing and design release cadence for electrical and mechanical componentsnManage engineering development builds working with process teams operations partners and suppliers/vendors to create new sensing subsystemsnIdentify and resolve conflicts both technical and interpersonalnPush for excellence and continuous improvement: offer best practices implement process changes and seek out efficiencies to make our design methodology better

BS in STEM field (e.g. EE ME Physics etc.) and 3 years relevant experiencennEngineering experience in a hardware development environment - Product development engineering or program management experience shipping semiconductor sensing technologies or hardware systems in any fieldnnCuriosity about and familiarity with AI tools with interest in applying them to improve engineering and program workflowsnnAbility and willingness to travel internationally (typically once per year; accommodations available as needed)

Advanced engineering degreenExperience in consumer electronicsnProven ability to lead and inspire multi-functional teams (e.g. Electrical Algorithms Process and Test Engineering) fostering collaboration by understanding diverse capabilities and priorities to deliver pioneering sensing solutionsnStrong communication and organizational skills with the ability to distill complex technical data for the right audience and drive clear decision-makingnThrives in ambiguity and rapid development cycles self-motivated and proactive with the creative and critical-thinking skills to navigate undefined problems remaining calm and flexible as challenges emerge
