Senior Technology Leader Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Technology Leader - Hybrid position with a Major Financial Services Firm located in Boston MA. This is a contract to hire opportunity.

Compensation: $95.00 - $99.00 per hour W2 based on qualifications

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced hands-onSenior Technology Leaderto join our clients Investment Technology team. This is a senior role combining deep engineering with leadership accountability where you will remain hands-on in code and architecture while leading a distributed team. The focus will be on modernizing and supporting investment platforms with scalable cloud-native architecture full stack delivery and robust engineering practices to support Portfolio Management and Trading.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and drive the technology strategy aligned with Investments business goals
• Lead strategic cross-functional initiatives that drive transformation in investment technology
• Lead and directly contribute to full stack application development using modern technologies
• Design and implement scalable secure APIs with strong monitoring and logging frameworks
• Lead the development of rich UI components using frameworks such as React or Angular
• Manage AWS-based infrastructure components and CI/CD pipelines (CloudFormation Lambda ECS S3 RDS etc)
• Own the production environment and application operations
• Collaborate with business and product teams to shape requirements and translate them into technical specifications and delivery plans
• Interface with strategic vendors for issue resolution feature enhancements and to ensure robust system integration
• Provide direction mentorship and technical leadership to a distributed team
• Foster a culture of collaboration innovation engineering excellence and ownership

Primary Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field
• 15 years of software engineering experience with at least 5 years in a senior lead / hands-on leadership role
• Strong command of full stack development: JavaScript (React/Angular) or Java/.NET/Python and SQL
• Hands-on experience with AWS architecture and services (Glue Lambda API Gateway IAM S3 CloudWatch etc)
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools: Jenkins GitHub Actions Terraform or CloudFormation
• Strong API development and integration experience
• Experience with testing frameworks (Jest Cypress Selenium)
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive cross-functional delivery in a matrixed global environment
• Demonstrated ability to remain hands-on in code and architecture while operating at a senior leadership level

Desired Skills:

• Prior experience in Asset Management Investment Banking or Wealth Management
• Knowledge of front-office platforms and workflows: OMS PMS and risk engines
• Experience with ETF platforms and fund lifecycle processes
• Familiarity with Snowflake Python and event-driven architecture
• Exposure to regulatory reporting ESG data pipelines or performance attribution systems
