Job Summary
The Kindle Finance & Accounting Tech Engineering team is responsible for providing accurate and timely royalty calculations and accounting entries for all Kindle and print-on-demand book sales. Publishers and authors of all shapes and sizes rely on Amazon to correctly account for all book sales so that they are paid correctly.
As a Senior Technical Program Manager You will work closely with product managers software development teams and business teams to understand the domain and ensure that the design meet the requirements. You will need to be able to articulate technology choices and decisions to a diverse group and be able to influence all this role is an exciting mix of solid technical complexity partnering with the business team and delivery excellence. You will be ably supported by a team of engineers product manager program manager and senior leaders. There will be leadership growth opportunity.
Successful candidates will have a technical background be detail-driven excellent program management capabilities and have excellent problem solving abilities. You should not only be passionate about delivering effective on-time solutions but should also be obsessed with contributing to the development of high-performance teams through rigorous goal-setting disciplined attention to performance metrics continuous process improvement and mentorship. This is a high impact position that will directly contribute to customer satisfaction in an area of incredible growth.
- 5 years of technical product or program management experience
- 7 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3 years of software development experience
- 5 years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules
- 5 years of project management disciplines including scope schedule budget quality along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
