Senior Tax Accountant

A growing tax advisory firm is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to work directly with clients on a collaborative client-focused team.

• Full-time year-round with overtime during tax season
• $85000$110000 based on experience

• On-site in Neptune NJ
• Hybrid (3 days on-site 2 remote)

• Prepare and review complex returns for individuals partnerships S corporations C corporations trusts and nonprofits
• Review financial statements and supporting documents for accuracy
• Maintain accurate client records and workpapers

• Research tax issues and help develop tax-planning strategies
• Identify tax-saving opportunities and recommend them to clients
• Respond to IRS and state notices
• Answer client questions and follow up on missing information

• Manage multiple assignments and deadlines during tax season
• Guide and support junior accountants and administrative staff

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
• 35 years of recent public-accounting tax experience
• Strong experience preparing individual and business returns
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
• Strong research analytical and communication skills
• Ability to work independently prioritize and meet deadlines
• Accuracy attention to detail and professionalism

• CPA or EA designation (CPA candidates will be considered)
• UltraTax CS experience
