The Space & Airborne Center within Systems Integration & Test is seeking Senior Systems Engineers. Our Space & Airborne integrates hardware and software develop test plans and procedures debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces and verify system requirements in support of final sell-off to the customer. We put our systems together exercise them in the lab or in the field measure and analyze performance and make sure our products work the first time and every time. Every day is a different set of challenges to overcome. Youll be expected to collaborate across disciplines and partner to implement this role youll get to know a little bit about every aspect of the system and have a direct hand in making it all work together supporting teams of engineers engaged in integration and test efforts. Our center focuses on back-end sustainment and repair design and sustainment development as well as transitioning systems through integration and test from production to warranty/sustainment. You will also perform functional / physical analysis allocation and trade studies. This position is an onsite role in El Segundo California.

What You Will Do

• Plan and Execute Integration Verification and Validation Test (IV&V) activities in our labs or occasionally in the field
• Perform troubleshooting and failure data analyses including root cause and corrective action processes and advanced use of lab or field test equipment
• Handle system hardware modules or units some with the use of support equipment
• Complete detailed system or software test data records including the use of analysis tools such as MATLAB
• Prepare and present results in reports and briefings to internal or external stakeholders
• Manage engineering support activities related to test and trouble-shoot of hardware
• Interpret and maintain design specifications and drawings (Schematics & Assembly Drawings)
• Maintain engineering databases
• Develop system technical solutions with Engineering teams
• Directly support Engineering Integrated Product Team Leads (IPTL) via periodic team meetings working group meetings and individual tasks
• Lead small teams on individual IV&V tasks assigned by the Engineering IPTL
• Coordinate across functions (operations software hardware) for the completion of complex program tasks as assigned by the Engineering IPTL
• Test event support activity that may require travel which is not expected to exceed 10%

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) preferably Systems Electrical Software or Physics and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience performing Radar Mode requirement verification engineering testing integration and flight-testing production system deployment and post deployment support in a hands-on laboratory environment.
• Experience supporting system integration and test activities including hardware and software integration debugging system evaluation and verification of system requirements.
• Knowledge in troubleshooting technical issues with electronics including the use of common commercial test equipment (oscilloscope spectrum analyzer etc.)
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance
• Advanced degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) preferably Systems Electrical Software or Physics
• Electrical schematics interface control documentation and communications protocols
• Reading and integrating software routines with hardware/electronics; C/C/C# preferred
• Radar systems
• Telemetry data collection equipment to capture real time data and/or real time monitoring
• Instrumentation and collection of large data sets including the application of scripting or automation to data collection and analysis
• Exposure to various military platforms for weapons conveyance such as ships ground combat systems fixed and rotary wing aircraft
• Troubleshooting issues in a lab environment
• MATLAB or Python for data analysis automation and algorithm development/integration

  The salary range for this role is 95500 USD - 181700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
