Job Summary
We are working on cutting-edge autonomous airpower systems that need to operate in the most demanding environments. To support our development and deployment tasks we are building a Systems Engineering team to guide Digital Engineering strategy and complement our Mission Software Engineering Product Engineering and Business Development teams. This team will provide Model Based Systems Engineering and Requirements Based Testing artifacts which will be used in support of product development delivery and sustainment of advanced mission autonomy systems.
- Red-team designs models and analyses across a program
- Build models and simulations needed to prove or break a claim.
- Work as a systems engineer to support Program Management Mission Software Engineers and Operations Analysts.
- Communicate complex results including strong visual presentation of data to engineers leadership and stakeholders
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
- B.S. in aerospace mechanical computer science or similar engineering or technical field
- 8 years Systems Engineering Experience across the life cycle. The more the better
- Experience with MODSIM environments like AFSIM or JSE
- Understanding of underlying MODSIM environment interfaces and behaviors
- Experience with requirements analysis and system design in a government context
- Proficiency with writing and owning systems-level requirements
- Strong engineering background in a relevant field (Aerospace Dynamics & Controls GNC Systems or similar)
- Experience with Systems Engineering Requirements Elicitation and Management Integration and Test Activities on complex systems - DoD Weapon Systems Space Systems etc...
- Experience with SysML DoDAF UAFP or similar
- Experience developing various model based system engineering artifacts - Operational Viewpoints System Viewpoints activity diagrams use case diagrams BDDs IBDs parametric diagrams etc...
- Experience with Cameo MagicDraw or similar systems engineering software (Rhapsody SparxEA etc...)
- Outstanding communication skills including visual presentation of complex data
- Hands-on track record of both designing/building and analyzing real engineering systems not analysis-only
- Demonstrated ability to find problems others miss: failure analysis adversarial review independent verification or equivalent
- Proven track record of independently owning and executing deliverables with little to no management
- Proficiency with physics-math scripting (e.g. MATLAB Simulink Python numpy/scipy)
US Salary Range
$180000 - $220000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience education and/or training critical skills and/or business considerations.
