Your Role
As a Senior Structural Engineer in our Restoration & Renewal Practice youll take ownership of technically challenging assessments designs and repairs for existing structures applying advanced engineering principles to complex restoration rehabilitation and adaptive reuse projects. Youll lead small and mid-size projects as well as selected components of larger high-profile structures exercising sound judgment proposing innovative solutions mentoring junior staff coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and helping guide project execution. This role provides exposure to clients and elements of project management while offering the opportunity to deepen technical expertise grow leadership capabilities expand project responsibilities and make a tangible impact on the longevity safety and performance of existing buildings.
What Youll Do
- Lead structural evaluations developing advanced solutions for existing building systems.
- Review and produce technical reports drawings and recommendations for clients and stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and interns on project tasks technical standards and engineering judgment.
- Coordinate closely with architects MEP engineers contractors and clients to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Contribute to project planning scheduling and technical decision-making.
- Support ongoing learning and professional development for yourself and your team.
What Youll Bring
- Bachelors degree in Civil Structural or Architectural Engineering; Masters degree preferred.
- 2 years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on repair renovation or rehabilitation.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and documentation tools such as SAP2000 ETABS RAM RISA3D PCA software Revit or AutoCAD.
- Strong problem-solving judgment and collaborative skills.
- Initiative to mentor others and contribute to technical excellence.
Compensation
The rate for this position generally is$87000-$ range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the New York Pay Transparency Law. It is based on what a successful New York applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in New York or perform the position from New York. Similar positions located outside of New York will not necessarily receive the same pay rates may vary from the range as permitted byNew YorkEqual Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors including operational needs individual education qualifications and experience work location and comparison to employee already in the role as well as other considerations permitted by law. A potential new employees pay history will not be used in compensation decisions.Benefits
