The successful candidate must be highly organized self-starting and possess strong data extraction and analytical capabilities. They must have proven successes in driving operational initiatives and demonstrate passion for the customer experience. They must be bold but thoughtful in their pursuit of results and thrive in a high energy environment where tactical and strategic activities are expected to be driven in parallel.
Strong candidates will have hands-on operations or inventory management experience and knowledge in fundamental business principles. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to succeed in managing a large catalog selection efficiently identifying problems/finding solutions and building/improving processes. The ideal candidate is able to lead and influence both internal and external teams in an ambiguous environment while maintaining a customer-centric philosophy.
Key job responsibilities
- Identifying and delivering improvement opportunities around demand and production planning
- Monitoring analyzing and owning Vendor Key Performance Indicators such as: Out of Stock rate Total Inbound lead time confirmation rates including presenting insights themes and trends to Senior Leadership team.
- Strategically analyzing production and delivery lead-times while optimizing operational excellence inputs such as EDI adoption PO confirmations efficient receive processes and inventory placement.
- Spearheading initiatives to enhance cost structure and profitability collaborating closely with partner teams to ensure successful execution.
- Quarterly travel to vendor sites to support ongoing partnership
- Knowledge of statistics or other analytical techniques
- 6 years of supply chain forecasting manufacturing sourcing/procurement or vendor management experience
- Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification in supply chain management engineering business management or other relevant field
- Experience managing multiple projects in parallel through prioritization planning and task delegation
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with business partners
- 6 years of proven track record of successfully leading and managing complex supply chain projects preferably in a large-scale retail or e-commerce environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data insights into actionable supply chain strategies. Microsoft Excel and SQL preferred.
- Experience with SQL
- MBA or Masters degree
- 3 years of negotiations and vendor management experience
- Ability to problem solve creatively by adapting frameworks or existing best practices

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
