The Opportunity

Abbott Nutrition is seeking a Senior Specialist Project Manager to support global ingredient qualification initiatives that help ensure access to high-quality ingredients across our product this role you will lead complex cross-functional projects from initiation through completion partnering with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to drive efficient execution mitigate risks and support business objectives.

What Youll Work On
  • Lead global ingredient qualification projects from initiation through completion ensuring milestones and timelines are achieved.
  • Coordinate and manage cross-functional project teams to support ingredient qualification activities.
  • Develop and maintain project plans timelines resource tracking and performance metrics.
  • Identify project risks issues and dependencies and communicate proactively with leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Partner with external suppliers to obtain quality compliance and technical documentation required for ingredient qualification.
  • Utilize project management and business systems to execute projects and track progress.
  • Drive alignment across global stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and timely decision-making.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy.
  • Support a culture of compliance quality and continuous improvement throughout the ingredient qualification process.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree required.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • 5 years of related experience leading complex global projects.
  • Strong project management skills including planning execution risk management and stakeholder communication.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
  • Strong organizational analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters degree.
  • Experience managing ingredient qualification activities including pre-qualification supplier assessment ingredient assessment finished product assessment approval and communication processes.
  • Understanding of quality systems regulatory requirements and compliance-driven environments.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with global cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience driving project outcomes without direct authority.
  • Experience working directly with external suppliers and business partners.
  • Strong integration and coordination skills across multiple functions and workstreams.
  • Experience with Power BI SharePoint Planview Devex and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in the food nutrition pharmaceutical medical device or other highly regulated industries.
