Senior Specialist, Project Engineering

Essential Functions:

• Conduct and lead Peer Reviews and Table-Top Reviews.

• Work withthetechnical team toidentify mitigateand close program risks.

• Serve as the technical lead of the project with cost and schedule responsibilities.

• Develops presents and delivers comprehensive presentations to the project teamupper management and customer personnel in a clear and concise manner.

• Successful startup activity including staffing robust mitigation plans and establishment of the technical baseline and change management process.

• Planning andmanagement of the products / projects on schedule and within budgetconstraints.

• Monitors theproduct/project from initiation through completion and/or customeracceptance.

• Developsmanages andmaintainsall aspects of project-level risks including mitigation costing and planning.

• Establishment and execution of detailed integrated master schedules.

• Develops monitors and statuses detailed MS Project schedules.

• Uses Earned Value Management System (EVMS) reports to manage project performance.

• Review of earned value metrics such as CPI SPI TCPI and ETC to drive program focus.

• Estimateresource and material needs for the project/product.

• Ensures thatproducts/projects delivered meet customer requirements and specifications.

• Driving a culture of continuous improvement asevidencedby executed improvement projects.

• Employee engagement to meet project needs.

• Maintaining forecasted demand signal on resource needs and partnering with the EMs talentacquisitionand supply chain on development of plans foraccomplishingthe engineering work.

• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills in a technical information environment; interactanticipate and respond to customer needs.

• Ability to obtain DOD Secret Security Clearance

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related lieu of a degree minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experienceexecuting throughout the project lifecycle including requirements flow down and allocation design development test and sell-off.

• Excellentverbal and written communication skills in a technical informationenvironment.

• Demonstrated Earnedvalue / Cost account management experience with cost and scheduleresponsibility experience.

• Demonstrated ability to work to deadlines and prioritize workload appropriately.

• Demonstrated methodical approach to their work.

• Broad Engineering experience acrossmultiple disciplines.

• Proficient with MS project and other MS Office packages.

• Functionalmanagement experience or direct involvement in resource management forecasting and placement.

• Proficient in using DOORS for requirements management.

• Demonstrated experiencewith Firmware and Software Requirements.

• Knowledgeable inRadio Frequency (RF) andSatellite communication
