PositionSummary

We are looking for an exceptionally skilled and SeniorEngineering manager. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in constructing and guiding dynamic talented engineering teams. This role involves coaching and mentoring team members to ensure the delivery of top-tier products and services specifically within the realms of voice and chatbots.

AsaSeniorEngineering Managerat CVS Health youll play a crucial role in building and delivering high-quality software that enhances customerexperiences. Youll be involved in all phases of software engineering from requirements analysis to deployment while adhering to agile software development methodologies. Collaboration is key as youll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions that meet the evolving needs of our business.

As aSenior Engineering Manager you will:

• Partner withleadershipapplication owners business partners and peer groups regarding long and short-range technical solutions that meetbusiness objectives

• Leadtwo or more teamsof software engineers provide mentorship foster professional growth and ensure team effectiveness

• Actively participate in Agile Scrum team activities includingsprintplanningrefinementsdaily scrum andretrospectives

• Get hands-on as required participate in code and design reviews evaluate technical work and influence towards software engineering best practices including the use of AI development tools

• Contribute to solution design and architecture collaborating with product teams architects and senior engineers

• Build and develop high-performing engineering teams by hiring top talent conducting technical performance evaluations and fostering a culture of continuous improvement technical excellence and knowledge sharing

• Oversee the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) including requirements engineering system design development testing and deployment ensuring adherence to modern engineering standards secure coding practices and scalable architecture principles

Required Qualifications

• 5 yearsofexperience managing engineers

• 10 years ofexperiencewithdesigning and building software engineering solutions in cloud environments

• 10 years of experience inoneor more modern languages such asTypescriptPython Java C# JavaScript SQL etc.

• 10 years of experience with APIs microservices and modern software patterns

• 5 year(s)ofsolicitingcomplex requirements andmanaging relationships with keystakeholders

• 5 year(s) of experience independently managing deliverables
• Experience with AI developmental tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Strongcommunication skills capable of effectively articulating technical and strategic concepts to multiple stakeholders

• Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLM) and their practical applications in conversational AI

• Experiencedeveloping and supportingvoice andtextchatbots.

• Advanced degree (Master or PhD) in Computer Science Engineering AI or a related field

Education

• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience (Highschool diploma plus 4 years relevant work experience)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience education geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the companys equity award program.
