The Role
Our client is seeking a Senior SME to support mission-critical cyber and network operations within the Department of War and Intelligence this role you will serve as the authoritative technical SME across frontend backend and cloud/DevOps domains providing expert guidance on architecture design patterns and technology selection.
Qualified Senior SME should have the below skills:
Demonstrated SME-level mastery across the full stack: React (modern JavaScript/TypeScript) Python backend development with FastAPI and/or Django AWS and containerized deployment with Docker and Kubernetes.
Proven track record leading major software development or modernization efforts end-to-end.
Strong grounding in secure software development and cloud security practices.
Infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform and Ansible) and GitOps-style deployment workflows.
Familiarity with CMMC NIST 800-171/800-53 or comparable compliance frameworks.
This work is located in Columbia MD. Candidates must be a US Citizen with an active Secret level government clearance. Salary for this role is between $182000 and $240000 depending on experience clearance level location and contract requirements.
