U.S. Bank is seeking a Software Engineer who will contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives in our digital transformation journey.

The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for the analysis design testing development and maintenance of best-in-class software experiences. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.

KeyResponsibilities:

• Designdevelopandmaintainscalable full stack applicationsusingReactJSTypeScriptJava17andSpringBoot.
• Buildresponsiveaccessibleandcross-browsercompatibleuserinterfacesfollowingmodern UI/UXbestpractices.
• Developandenhance RESTfulAPIsmicroservicesandbackendservicestosupportenterpriseapplications.
• Implementsecureauthenticationandauthorizationusing OAuth2 JWT Azure AD and Spring Security.
• Designoptimizeandmaintaindatabasesincluding PostgreSQLOracleMySQLandMongoDB.
• Developdeployandsupportcloud-nativesolutionson AzureandAWSplatforms.
• Buildandmaintain CI/CD pipelines automate deployments and support containerized applications using GitLab Jenkins and Docker.
• Collaborate with product owners architects and Agile teams todeliverhigh-qualitysolutionsparticipateincodereviewsand supportproductiontroubleshooting.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
• 5 years of relevant experience

RequiredSkills/Experience:

• Hands-on softwareengineeringexperiencebuildingenterprise-gradefull-stackapplications.
• Strongproficiencyin ReactJS Typescript JavaScript (ES6) HTML5 CSS3 and Bootstrap.
• Hands-onexperiencewith Java 17 Spring Boot Spring Security REST APIs and Microservices Architecture. Strongdatabasedevelopmentskillswith PostgreSQL Oracle MySQL MongoDB and SQL optimization.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Experiencedevelopinganddeployingapplicationson MicrosoftAzure;exposureto AWSpreferred.
• Knowledgeof Azure AD OAuth2 JWT application security and secure coding best practices.
• Experiencewith GitGitLabCI/CDJenkinsDockerMavenandmodernDevOpspractices.
• Familiaritywith agile /Scrum methodologies automated testing (Junit Mockito Jest Playwrite Cypress) and SDLC best practices.

Location expectations:
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
