Senior Software Development Engineer, Partner Experience and Growth, Amazon Ads

The Amazon Advertising business is growing at a fast pace and this teams mission is to apply technology to accelerate that growth through best-in-class software engineering data engineering and business intelligence. The team is looking for motivated thoughtful self-starters who can contribute right away to the design and development of these new products and who can partner closely with our teams to deliver products that truly move the needle for innovation.

Key job responsibilities
* Designs and independently implements key features solving difficult software problems for our partners potentially spanning multiple areas of Amazons advertising ecosystem.
* Solves complex technical problems with simple solutions wherever possible
* Demonstrates knowledge and use of coding and testing best practices
* Influences the teams technical direction and maintains a high quality bar having a direct impact on both software quality and experience for our users
* Effectively communicates technical and non-technical ideas to diverse audiences
* Collaborates with peers and mentors to receive guidance and acts as a mentor to others as required
* Cultivates relationships with partner teams

About the team
Amazon Worldwide Advertising is one of Amazons fastest growing and most profitable businesses. Partner Experience and Growth (PEG) organization leverages advanced analytics and experimentation to unlock value for our advertising partners and mutual customers i.e. the advertisers.

- 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5 years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5 years of leading design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor tech lead or leading an engineering team

- 5 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
