Job Summary

Koniag IT Systems LLC a Koniag Government Services company is seeking a Senior Security Manager with a Secret security clearance to support KITS and our government customer in Smyrna GA. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity. The ideal candidate is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with broad expertise across multiple security domains including Cybersecurity Governance Identity Protection and Management Data Protection Incident Management Vulnerability Management Digital Forensics Insider Threat and Endpoint Security. An active ADP-II/Secret clearance is required for this position. The Senior Security Manager will oversee Cybersecurity Service Operations (CSO) supporting this functional area IAW NIST SP 800-181 providing guidance assisting with risk assessments and supporting risk management activities for our government customer. Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Serve as the single point of contact for the Government ensuring seamless communication and coordination between the technical team and government and manage Cybersecurity Service Operations (CSO) ensuring the delivery of high-quality cybersecurity services in alignment with DoW requirements and applicable federal and maintain cybersecurity guidance policies and procedures to support operational security requirements and organizational compliance with risk assessments and risk management activities identifying vulnerabilities and recommending appropriate mitigation strategies to protect information systems and expert leadership and oversight across key security domains including:Cybersecurity GovernanceIdentity Protection and ManagementData ProtectionIncident ManagementVulnerability ManagementDigital ForensicsInsider ThreatEndpoint SecurityEnsure compliance with applicable NIST Special Publications ISO standards and DoD Instructions Policies and Directives governing cybersecurity and coordinate incident response efforts ensuring timely detection containment and remediation of security incidents affecting government information vulnerability management processes including the identification prioritization and remediation of vulnerabilities across the insider threat program activities collaborating with relevant stakeholders to detect deter and mitigate insider threats to government systems and strategic guidance and technical direction to team members supporting CSO functions fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional and present security briefings reports and recommendations to senior government leadership and other key the evolving cybersecurity threat landscape and provide recommendations to adapt security operations and posture and Experience:Required:Bachelors Degree with an emphasis in Information Technology Security Cybersecurity or a related field from an accredited college or university. Extensive experience in the required discipline may serve as a substitution for the Bachelors Degree of 7 years of experience performing U.S. Federal Government cybersecurity service operation a Bachelors Degree a minimum of 10 years of experience performing U.S. Federal Government cybersecurity service operation functions is in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M/8140.01 (or most current DoD guidance) as IAT Level II and CSSP Skills and Competencies:Exceptional communication skills in English both written and oral with the ability to effectively communicate complex cybersecurity concepts and risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders including senior government knowledge and experience in Cybersecurity Governance Identity Protection and Management Data Protection Incident Management Vulnerability Management Digital Forensics Insider Threat and Endpoint -depth knowledge of NIST Special Publications ISO cybersecurity standards and DoW Instructions Policies and Directives governing cybersecurity experience overseeing and managing Cybersecurity Service Operations (CSO) within a DoW ability to lead risk assessments and develop risk management strategies to protect federal information systems and developing and maintaining cybersecurity policies procedures and guidance documents in support of operational and compliance leadership and team management skills with the ability to provide technical direction and mentorship to cybersecurity to serve as the primary point of contact and liaison between technical teams and government stakeholders on all cybersecurity service operations leading and coordinating incident response activities including detection containment eradication and recovery ADP-II/Secret Skills and Competencies:Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) platforms and other security operations tools used within federal or DoW with additional cybersecurity frameworks such as FISMA FedRAMP or of zero trust architecture principles and their application within DoW or federal certifications such as CISSP CISM CEH or other relevant cybersecurity credentials beyond the minimum DoD 8570.01-M/8140.01 with digital forensics tools and methodologies including experience supporting investigations within a federal government with cloud security operations and the application of cybersecurity controls within cloud-hosted developing and delivering cybersecurity awareness training programs for government of insider threat detection tools methodologies and program management best practices within a federal or DoW Equal Employment Opportunity PolicyThe company is an equal opportunity employer.
