SAP WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT
Subject matter specialist who will independently maintain integrate and implement software applications within the organization.
In this role you will conduct strategic software application testing quality assurance configuration installation and support to ensure smooth stable and timely implementation of new software and updates to installed applications.
Assist with the strategy and technical planning of system/application technology in accordance with internal and external software compliance standards. Independently analyze business requirements and prepare detailed technical specifications to write applications and programs.
Independently perform advanced and highly complex programming coding and documentation of systems and applications software.
Compile and prioritize enhancements and defect resolutions to applications implementing changes.
Independently conduct or advise others in technical software testing and debugging of systems and software applications as needed.
Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems.

SAP Warehouse Management (WM) Functional Expertise:
Look for candidates with strong hands-on SAP Warehouse Management (WM) functionalconsulting experience supporting warehouse operations inventory managementreceiving storage and material movement processes. Candidates should demonstrate theability to translate business requirements into SAP WM solutions through configurationtesting process improvement and implementation support rather than focusing primarilyon custom development or technical programming.

Full Lifecycle Implementation Experience:
Prioritize candidates with a proven track record of successfully delivering at least two tothree end-to-end SAP WM implementations. Candidates should be able to clearlyarticulate their involvement across the full project lifecycle including requirements of gathering solution design configuration testing user support go-live activities and postproduction stabilization. Consistency and depth of implementation experience are moreimportant than the total number of projects completed.

Business Process & Solution Design Capability:
Seek candidates who can effectively partner with business stakeholders to understandoperational requirements and recommend practical SAP WM solutions. Strong candidateswill possess experience evaluating warehouse processes documenting requirementssupporting solution design decisions and ensuring system configurations align withbusiness objectives.

Testing Troubleshooting & Support:
Look for candidates with experience leading or supporting system testing user acceptancetesting (UAT) issue resolution and production support activities. Candidates should becomfortable identifying process gaps troubleshooting functional issues coordinatingresolutions and helping ensure stable warehouse operations during implementation andsupport phases.

Knowledge Transfer & Mentorship:
The hiring manager is seeking an experienced consultant who can guide and supportinternal resources while providing practical SAP WM expertise. Prior experience mentoringusers transferring knowledge assisting with user adoption or serving as a trusted advisorto business and technical teams is highly valued.

Industry Experience:
Candidates with food manufacturing food processing or broader food supply chainexperience are strongly preferred. Experience supporting SAP WM environments withinlarge manufacturing or distribution organizations is particularly relevant. Previousexperience with Cargill or similar food industry organizations is highly desirable.
Communication & Collaboration:
Target candidates who can communicate effectively across business and technical consultants will be able to explain SAP WM processes provide implementationguidance support decision-making and collaborate with stakeholders throughout theproject lifecycle.

Practical Focus:
Emphasize execution-oriented SAP WM consultants who can quickly contribute to anactive implementation environment. The ideal candidate combines strong functional SAPWM knowledge with practical implementation experience troubleshooting capability andthe ability to guide internal team members. While technical knowledge is beneficial thisrole is not focused on heavy ABAP development or custom programming.

  • Supplier summaries should clearly address the following:
  • Total years of SAP Warehouse Management (WM) experience.
  • Number of completed end-to-end SAP WM implementations and the candidatesresponsibilities within each.
  • Specific experience with requirements gathering solution design configurationtesting go-live and production support.
  • Examples of warehouse processes supported (inventory management receivingstorage material movement etc.).
  • Experience mentoring training or guiding business users and internal teammembers.

Relevant food manufacturing food processing supply chain or distributionindustry experience.

  • Any previous Cargill experience or experience supporting similar enterpriseenvironments.
  • Availability and ability to contribute immediately to an active implementation effort.
