As a member of the team youll have the opportunity to work with a group of highly skilled engineers and scientists to bring new experiences to Apple position requires a self-motivated robotics engineer with strong technical and interpersonal skills to handle responsibilities including:

Designing and implementing AI/ML systems to solve real-world problemsn Evaluating and debugging complex AI systemsn Integrating intricate AI systems into a larger software stackn Designing and carrying out protocols for data collection and evaluation with human subjects

MS/PhD in Computer Science Electrical Engineering Math or related field with 5 years of experience in Roboticsn Strong software engineering backgroundn Ability to break down large features and implement practical solutionsn Curiosity about new technologies flexibility and openness to ambiguityn Proficiency with modern ML approaches (LLMs/VLMs Diffusion Models etc.)

Strong proficiency with models of human behavior (e.g. noisily rational decision making legible motion etc.)n Experience conducting human-robot interaction experimentsn Strong proficiency with classical robotic algorithms (optimization graph search etc.)n Familiarity with the full robotics stack (controls perception motion planning etc.)n Familiarity with Swift and Apple developer tools
