Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY:

This role oversees the implementation and governance for the UDX digital media asset management system. The Senior Specialist for Content Supply Chain Management works closely with many teams across multiple business lines and destinations to ensure the integrity of applied metadata on assets intended for upload into the Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform as well as the application of security measures to ensure asset confidentiality.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides management over asset lifecycles:
    • Manage from upload through sunset.
    • Provide maintenance of the media on which assets reside. This will include but is not limited to maintaining storage hardware and digital cloud-based tools.
    • Ensure assets of all types including raw assets are shepherded through their storage lifecycles.
    • Applies appropriate metadata to creative assets including but not limited to keywording naming convention tracking data related to usage rights including custom attributes. Leads and guides the application of the same activities by Representatives
    • Interacts with global user base across multiple divisions and destinations to identify appropriate storage & metadata for each teams assets.
    • Interfaces closely with internal teams and vendors to maintain the integrity of the DAM and to ensure that it is operational to the highest level of efficiency. This includes investigating individual storage solutions leading user testing communicating tickets with MediaValet.
    • Collaborates with the Senior Manger to strategize future thinking in terms of asset handling and application of technologies to same for scalability and speed while maintaining highest level of accuracy.
    • Provides search services to DAM system users. This includes keeping up to date on the tools hardware and media used in the DAM industry.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy procedures training and team member involvement activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High level knowledge of appropriate graphics and DAM processing applications such as Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Lightroom Bridge Photoshop).
  • High level knowledge of digital library science methodology.
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated team player and team lead skills to support team cohesiveness and consistency in product deliverables of all types.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for negotiation analysis problem-solving decision-making and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills with an aptitude to adapt to audiences at all levels of the organization adapting the presentation of information for both technical and non-technical audiences and for leadership roles at all levels through Vice President both within M&S Orchestration and other M&S teams.
  • Proven computer/digital knowledge aptitude.
  • Ability to interact with customers as directed in a sensitive and diplomatic manner maintaining positive relationships and building consensus on project goals.
  • Strong analytical skills and strong attention to detail with a logical approach to problem solving and an adaptive approach for the appropriate level of detail versus timeline/schedule considerations.
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills.
  • Project management aptitude and proven ability to multi-task and work on multiple related projects at one time.
  • High level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelors degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Masters Degree in a relevant field is a plus.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years of working with a DAM or MAM system with demonstrated proficiency with Orange Logic a plus or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Skills and previous experience include a strong understanding of asset lifecycles in a marketing and sales environment postproduction workflow experience metadata application workflows knowledge of asset backup best practices and DAM or MAM platform experience. Working experience in asset creation tools such as Adobe CC programs is a preference.
  • Must be legally authorized to working in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future.
