Senior Relationship Manager Securities Lending
Job Description Summary
Securities Lending at Northern Trust helps institutional investors generate additional revenue from their investment portfolios by lending securities to approved market participants. As a Senior Relationship Manager you will lead a portfolio of complex institutional clients serving as a trusted advisor while delivering strategic solutions enhancing the client experience and identifying opportunities to deepen client relationships.
Major Duties
Manage and expand relationships with complex institutional securities lending clients.
Advise senior client stakeholders on strategic initiatives service enhancements and business objectives.
Develop innovative solutions that address evolving client needs and industry challenges.
Coordinate internal resources to ensure exceptional service delivery and timely issue resolution.
Educate clients on market developments regulatory changes and industry trends affecting their securities lending programs.
Identify opportunities to expand client relationships through additional products and services.
Develop pricing strategies and manage client profitability while maintaining awareness of market and competitive dynamics.
Recommend new products services and process improvements that support client objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Finance Economics Business or a related field preferred.
10 years of financial services experience including at least 5 years in securities lending trust asset servicing custody or a related field.
Strong knowledge of securities lending products borrower and collateral structures and industry practices.
Understanding financial markets investment management and portfolio management concepts.
Proven experience managing complex institutional client relationships.
Strong communication presentation negotiation relationship management and business development skills.
Ability to influence stakeholders solve complex problems and manage multiple priorities in a client-focused environment.
Salary Range:
$114700 - 194900 USDSalary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension) health and welfare benefits (medical dental vision spending accounts and disability) paid time off parental and caregiver leave life & accident insurance and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
