Senior QA Automation Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte NC Plano TX and Pennington NJ. This is a 12 month contract opportunity.

This role focuses on software quality assurance for commercial card teams with a strong emphasis on automation testing. The ideal candidate will leverage expert-level Java and Selenium skills to design develop and maintain robust automation frameworks in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Responsibilities:

• Create comprehensive test strategies test plans and test cases
• Perform regression smoke integration and end-to-end testing
• Manage defect lifecycle and collaborate with development teams
• Identify edge cases risks and automation gaps using strong analytical skills
• Work independently and take ownership of automation initiatives
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 7 years of overall software quality assurance experience with 5 years focused on automation testing
• Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
• Expert-level proficiency in Java for test automation development
• Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver
• Experience designing and maintaining robust automation frameworks (e.g. Page Object Model data-driven frameworks)
• Experience with test execution and reporting tools (e.g. TestNG JUnit)
• Strong skills in API testing automation (e.g. REST Assured Postman with automation)
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins GitHub Actions GitLab CI)
• Proficiency with version control systems (Git Bitbucket)
• Ability to write and execute SQL queries for backend data validation
• Excellent problem-solving debugging and communication skills

Desired skills:

• Experience with mobile automation testing (Appium) is a plus
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS Azure or GCP)
• Exposure to containerization tools (Docker Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g. JMeter Gatling)
• Strong knowledge of the Payment domain in Banking
• Previous experience mentoring or leading QA automation engineers

Pay range: $49.37 - $57.37 per hour
