Job Impact & Expectations
As a Senior Project Manager you will drive the delivery of large complex projects with significant organizational impact. You will lead multidisciplinary teams manage executive stakeholders and ensure successful project outcomes within established timelines and budgets. Expertise in project management methodology clear communication and risk mitigation are essential for steering high-visibility initiatives and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex high-risk projects with executive sponsors
- Oversee 15 26 project staff members; supervise coach and mentor the project team
- Define project scopes resolve critical issues and establish project budgets
- Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships
- Collaborate with HR/IT Resource Managers to select and manage project personnel
- Communicate project vision roles and progress to all stakeholders
- Monitor project progress mitigate risks and ensure stakeholder engagement
- Track and reconcile aggregate resource hours and project expenses
- Ensure compliance with organizational security and regulatory standards
- Promote best practices in project management and recommend process improvements
Skills & Qualifications
- 15 years project management experience in medium to large projects
- 5 years as primary manager on complex high-visibility projects
- PMP certification; active PMI membership
- Bachelor s degree in business healthcare IT or related field
- Advanced skills in team facilitation project planning budgeting and vendor management
- Strong documentation and communication abilities
- Ability to guide executive-level discussions and navigate ambiguity
Preferred/Bonus
- Advanced degree (MBA MHA RRA) or additional specialty certifications
