Senior Practitioner Occupational Therapist – Childrens Services

Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced Senior Practitioner Occupational Therapist for its clients community-based service based in Enfield. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to work across childrens and adult social care services supporting complex cases while providing leadership and supervision to colleagues.

What will your responsibilities be

In this role you will:

• Assess children with physical disabilities including autism.
• Complete assessments for specialist equipment seating and home adaptations.
• Undertake moving and handling assessments and Occupational Therapy housing assessments.
• Provide clinical guidance advice and support to Occupational Therapy colleagues.
• Line manage two Occupational Therapists working across adult and childrens caseloads.
• Manage complex assessments and collaborate with families carers and multidisciplinary professionals to achieve positive outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have:

• A recognised Occupational Therapy qualification.
• Current HCPC registration.
• Experience working with children in a community health or social care setting.
• Experience assessing and recommending equipment adaptations and moving & handling solutions.
• Previous experience within adult social care services.
• Experience supervising mentoring or line managing Occupational Therapists.
• Strong assessment communication organisational and case management skills.
