The Resilient Connectivity Products (RCP) Hardware Technologies team is seeking a driven creative Senior Electrical/Power Engineer to help shape the future of secure highspeed communication systems across ground airborne and space this role youll directly influence missioncritical hardware powering advanced software-defined radios highbandwidth data links and resilient communication networks operating in some of the worlds toughest environments.

Youll join a collaborative team building stateoftheart power electronicsclosedloop power supplies EMI filters highefficiency conversion stagesand guide designs from concept through qualification. This handson role spans power conversion systems magnetics EMI mitigation and PFC solutions offering opportunities to innovate at every stage of the hardware lifecycle.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer you will apply deep expertise in switching converters magnetics control loops manufacturability and testability to deliver highreliability aerospace hardware. Youll work closely with crossfunctional partners and influence pursuits design integration verification and factory transition.

What You Will Do:

• Lead the design and development of power electronics hardware including DC/DC and AC/DC converters motor controllers and power supplies.
• Perform circuit analysis modeling simulation and component selection aligned to system requirements.
• Generate engineering documentation: requirements design descriptions schematics BOMs and test plans.
• Support integration verification validation and qualification testing new and existing designs.
• Partner closely with Systems Mechanical Software Manufacturing and Digital Hardware teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Diagnose and solve issues related to power conversion performance reliability EMI/EMC and thermal behavior.
• Ensure adherence to aerospace standards and mission assurance expectations.
• Mentor junior engineers and support a culture of technical excellence.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Hands-on design expertise with power supply topologies (buck boost flyback forward resonant PFC etc.).
• Strong understanding of power supply control schemes including differences between peak current mode and voltage mode control with the ability to design appropriate compensation place poles/zeros and evaluate converter stability.
• Thorough understanding of EMC/EMI requirements associated mitigation techniques and designing power systems to meet regulatory standards.
• Experience in schematic capture and PCB design for power supplies.
• Ability to perform power electronics simulations.
• Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience across a range of power levels and switching frequencies in DC/DC and AC/DC power conversion.

• Power supply design experience from 10 W to multi-kW.

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to all audiences.
• Expertise in digital control complex topologies such as phase-shifted bridge or LLC and designing protection features (over voltage undervoltage overcurrent etc.).
• Experience selecting appropriate COTS magnetics with the ability to design custom inductors or transformers when needed.

• Proficient in selecting and integrating key power components with consideration for thermal stress derating and overall thermal management.
• Active SECRET clearance or higher.

The salary range for this role is 86800 USD - 165200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
