Senior Power BI Developer

Location: Miramar FL - Onsite 4x a week

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Power BI Developer with strong hands-on experience in Power BI Databricks and Jira to design develop and maintain scalable BI solutions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in data modeling dashboard development and working within Agile environments to deliver high-impact analytics and reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to support business decision-making
• Build and optimize data models DAX calculations and performance tuning
• Integrate and transform data from multiple sources including Databricks Azure and SQL databases
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines leveraging Databricks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers business stakeholders and product owners
• Manage tasks track progress and participate in Agile ceremonies using Jira
• Ensure data accuracy consistency and governance across reporting solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data quality and reporting performance
• Provide technical guidance and mentor junior developers

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in Power BI development
• Strong expertise in DAX Power Query and data modeling
• Hands-on experience with Databricks (data ingestion transformation Spark Delta Lake)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using Jira
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases
• Experience with Azure Data Platform (Azure Data Factory Synapse etc.) is a plus
• Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with big data technologies and data warehousing concepts
• Exposure to Python or PySpark within Databricks
• Familiarity with data governance and security best practices
• Prior experience in enterprise-scale BI implementations
