Your work environment at EXP
In this role you will be a part of thePlumbingteam based in Washington DC Fairfax or Towson MD.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Lead and mentor junior engineers engineers and designers level staff on all of their responsibilities.
- Review code related items with engineers to ensure compliance.
- Perform at a responsible charge level of meeting exp design and quality levels.
- Ability to QC all work ofplumbingengineering staff.
- Apply risk management procedures daily to minimize exp & clients exposure to problems.
- Creates the narratives (basis of design) for the SD work.
- Perform front-end loading ofplumbingsystems.
- Develop and monitorplumbingwork plans in conjunction with PM.
- Write new specification sections; develop new details as required for project needs.
- Manages work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours.
- Writes studies and reports forplumbingsystems when needed on projects.
- Understand and apply engineering principles and fundamentals.
- Perform life cycle cost analyses and energy/cost calculations forplumbingsystems.
- Ability to develop alternative Engineeredplumbingsystems that meet code.
What your experience looks like
- Proficient withplumbingengineering and design with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role;
- Experience in the Transit Aviationor Commercial Building projects
- Must have strong communication skills be able to direct other individuals in the design ofplumbingsystems;
- PE required
- Proficient in both AutoCAD and Revit;
- BS Architectural Engineering BS Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree; preferred but not necessary
The salary range for this role is $140000 to $180000. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidates skill set experience certifications and geographic location. Compensation may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor.
