Job Summary
Senior Performance Engineer to own and elevate API performance testing across a complex integrated application ecosystem. This role goes beyond executing load tests - it requires someone who can define performance strategy interpret results and clearly communicate business impact to both technical teams and leadership.
Must have strong communication skills and be able to create presentations for Non-Technical Executives based on performance testing findings
Key Responsibilities
- Own API performance testing across a distributed ecosystem that includes:
- Salesforce
- MuleSoft
- Oracle
- Boundary and downstream applications with heavy API dependencies
- Design and execute a comprehensive performance testing strategy including:
- Load testing
- Stress testing
- Scalability testing
- Endurance testing
- Volume testing
- Develop structured performance test plans that clearly define:
- User and transaction models
- Test duration and ramp profiles
- Objectives thresholds and success criteria
- Execute tests using industry standard tooling and analyze results to identify:
- Bottlenecks
- Failure points
- Scalability risks
- Partner closely with engineering architecture and DevOps teams to:
- Drive root cause analysis
- Recommend remediation approaches
- Validate fixes
- Leverage existing automation frameworks where applicable (Playwright TypeScript Cucumber)
- Produce clear executive ready summaries outlining:
- What was tested
- Why it matters
- What the results mean for performance stability and risk
- Recommended next steps
