With a staff of 950 and an annual budget of $140 million Project Renewal is one of the larger social service nonprofits in New York : Senior Performance AnalystProgram: Program Evaluation and Quality Assurance (PEQA) Salary Range: $80000 - $85000 Program Description:The Program Evaluation and Quality Assurance (PEQA) Department designs implements and manages Project Renewals systems of performance measurement and management quality assurance and quality improvement. PEQAs objective is to enhance the agencys ability to achieve its mission by developing and facilitating processes that measurably improve the quality and effectiveness of our services and operations and to support agency leadership in managing towards high Responsibilities:The Senior Performance Analyst reports to the Senior Director of Program Evaluation and Quality Assurance and collaborates with program and agency leadership to support the use of data to improve services across the agency. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining advanced reporting dashboards and data models with a strong emphasis on building scalable data solutions ensuring data integrity and generating actionable insights to support program and organizational decision-makingEssential Duties and Responsibilities:The essential duties of the Senior Performance Analyst include but are not limited to the following activities:Data Modeling Reporting and Dashboard DevelopmentDesign build and maintain complex data models to support reporting and analytics including data transformations and relationships aggregations and calculated fields/measures and optimization for performance and scalabilityDevelop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI and SQL-based reporting ensuring intuitive design and usability for diverse stakeholdersCreate and manage data pipelines and reporting workflows supporting automation of recurring reports and dataset refresh processesEnsure data accuracy reliability and performance of reporting tools including monitoring and optimizing dashboard and report functionalityTranslate business and program requirements into scalable technical reporting and data model solutionsConduct ad hoc analysis and advanced data exploration to identify trends patterns and opportunities for improvementPerformance Measurement & SupportSupervise and develop a team of data analysts ensuring high-quality execution of projects and deliverablesSupport the implementation of the agencys performance measurement and monitoring (PMM) framework across programsAssist in the development and tracking of performance indicators and benchmarksProvide support and guidance to program staff on performance measurement concepts and best practicesDatabase & Data Systems ManagementSupport data collection validation and integration across multiple disparate systemsAssist in maintaining and enhancing databases and underlying data structures used for reporting and analysis needsContribute to data standardization data dictionaries and consistent data definitions across systemsPartner with IT to strengthen data integration and interoperability reducing duplication and improving system efficiencyTroubleshoot data discrepancies and resolving data integrity issuesOther duties and responsibilities as assignedQualifications:Education & ExperienceBachelors degree required; Masters degree in Public Health Data Analytics Public Policy or related field preferred3-5 years of experience in data analysis reporting or analytics with a strong emphasis on dashboard development and data modeling2-3 years of leadership or management experienceTechnical SkillsStrong experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau)Demonstrated experience building complex data models (e.g. star schema relational models calculated measures)Experience with data transformation tools (e.g. Power Query SQL ETL processes)Experience working with multiple data sources and integrating datasetsFamiliarity with data governance and data quality best practicesCore CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on technical solutionsAttention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrityAbility to translate technical concepts into clear insights for non-technical usersAbility to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teamsProject Renewal is an equal opportunity employer.
