Senior Payroll Coordinator

What we are looking for:

Aldridge is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Payroll Coordinator to join our talented Payroll this role you will execute all in-house payroll functions that ensures complete accuracy timeliness and regulatory compliance across all pay cycles. You will also execute complex allocations and tax reporting.

What youll do:

  • Assist in leading in-house weekly payroll processing conducting a final detailed review and validation of the weekly payroll output including checks direct deposit files and union allocations.
  • Support the setup maintenance and audit of employee master files pay rates deductions and terminations in the system ensuring data integrity and adherence to all onboarding/offboarding policies.
  • Manage and reconcile complex retirement contribution processes including updating 401(k) rates and loans and verifying the accurate and timely transmission of data files to banks and other third-party administrators.
  • Serve as a confidential resource for complex inquiries including employment verifications garnishment calculations and in-depth multi-state and local tax research to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare review and finalize quarterly and annual payroll tax returns and W-2s ensuring the accuracy of all related filings and required documentation.
  • Lead the internal review and validation of all master file changes including periodic audits to ensure the comprehensive integrity and security of employee records within the system of record.
  • Provide support to employees and managers regarding payroll discrepancies union benefit calculations tax withholdings and pay policies.
  • Proactively identify and implement improvements to current payroll processes system configurations and internal controls to increase efficiency reduce risk and enhance compliance.
  • Provide support and mentorship to junior payroll staff on processing procedures system usage and best practices.

Who you are:

  • Unquestionable integrity and demonstrated ability to handle sensitive confidential information with the highest level of discretion.
  • Bachelors degree required preferably in Accounting Finance or a related field.
  • 6 years of dedicated hands-on payroll experience with extensive experience managing complex in-house and union payroll; construction industry experience is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in payroll tax return preparation and filing is required.
  • Exceptional organizational time management and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot complex payroll and system reconciliation issues.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and Google Workspace applications.
  • Experience with Tableau eCMS CMiC or similar complex ERP payroll systems is strongly preferred.

What we offer:

The annual base pay for this role is between $80000-$95000. The actual pay is dependent upon many factors including: location work experience education training transferable skills business needs and market conditions.
