Senior Oracle Developer
San Mateo CA Hybrid (3 days a week in office)
Job Description:
Support and enhance the companys PLMs (Product Lifecycle Management) physical data models deployed on Oracle;Contribute to the application design and developmentby devising an optimal data model and efficient PL/SQL code for various domain problems;Contribute to the design and development of schema objects technical review of SQL code with peers as well as design review with other members of the team;Re-factor poorly performing SQL and undertake system and application tuning activities including tuning SQL queries and the database/system;Write high quality SQL and PL/SQL code to implement new product features;Participate in a scrum-based collaborative development process.
Job requirements:
The position requiresaBachelorsdegree or foreignequivalent inComputer Engineeringor a related field plusfive(5)yearsofexperience in the job offered or a related also requiresdemonstrable experience with each of the following:
Ability to commute to the office 3 days a week in San Mateo.
US Citizenship is.
Designinganddevelopingcloud-basedapplications using Oracle involving Online and Batch Mode transaction processing;
Writing PL/SQL stored procedures and SQL queries to implement andmaintainproduct features;
Designing and developing applications for high-availability systems;
Development experience in three-tier architecture to provide Database support for applications that use Java/J2EE technologies;
Developing applicationsin UnixOrLinux environments including shell scripting and using source code control tools like git orsvn;
WritingDetailed Technical Design documents Explain the Data Model Provide Detailed Comments in Software Code;
Communicatingsoftware design to development team members collaboratingwith functional leaders to understand business requirementsand explainingdesignedbehavior to cross-functional team members and management;
Supporting and enhancing physical data models deployed on Oracle;
Designing and developing database schema objects;
Designing Database Package procedures tomaintainthe database tables;
Conducting technical review of SQL code andparticipatingin design reviews;
Oracle database Performance tuning activities including tuning SQL queries and database applications;
ReviewingOracle AWR (Automatic Workload Repository) ASH (Active Session History) and ADDM (Automatic Database Diagnostic Monitor) Reports toidentifydatabase bottlenecks slow running queries and implement necessary performance improvements to the design;
Maintaining the existing product release code and address bugs and enhancementsin a timely manner; and
Participating in a scrum-based development process
Compensation (CIP)
PTC carefully considers a wide varietyof factors when determining compensation. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is between $125500 - 170000. The salary range reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on a candidates skills qualifications experience and location. Additionally candidates may be eligible for a performance-based also have the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee share purchase program (ESPP) which allows for the purchase of discounted PTC stock. Certain roles may also be eligible for participation in our equity programs.
