Location: Oakland CA

Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid once per month onsite in OGO; local candidates only

  • Pay Rate: $55.00$60.00 / Hour (USD)
  • Equipment: Client laptop will be provided. Any other tools must be provided by the vendor.

Job Summary

This role provides analytics support for the clients NPA and zonal electrification programs an initiative focused on accelerating building electrification to avoid gas infrastructure investments and support long-term decarbonization goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • ETL Pipeline Creation: Develop and maintain an extract-transform-load data pipeline across multiple different core data environments to screen and prioritize electrification opportunities across the clients system.
  • New Data Sources: Provide recommendations to enhance data pipeline with new data sources and improved data processes.
  • Process Automation: Create automated data routines and processes for reporting and data delivery ensuring accurate data manipulation and data cleansing.
  • Dashboards and Ad Hoc Analysis: Develop and communicate clear concise and actionable data analyses in the form of dashboards or ad hoc reports.
Required Skills
  • ETL / Data Pipeline Development Must have hands-on experience building ETL/data pipelines from scratch
  • Experience developing maintaining troubleshooting and enhancing pipelines
  • Strong understanding of data extraction transformation cleansing and loading
  • Experience working with multiple data sources
  • Candidates who developed pipelines not just consumed data or ran reports
  • SQL Strong/advanced SQL experience for data extraction and transformation
  • Complex queries and data manipulation
  • Experience working with data warehouses and large datasets
  • Python / Data-Oriented Coding Strong hands-on Python or comparable coding experience for data processing transformation and automation
  • Data Warehouse Experience Experience working with enterprise data warehouses; ability to move transform and prepare data for analytical use
  • Advanced skill in designing and maintaining ETL processes for large datasets
  • Advanced skill in SQL and database query languages for extracting transforming and analyzing data from data environments
  • Advanced skill in Python (or similar programming languages) for data analysis and automation
  • Able to analyze and interpret data and effectively communicate findings
  • Demonstrated communication skills
Preferred Skills
  • Dashboard / Reporting Power BI is preferred; Tableau or similar visualization tools can also be considered
  • Experience with data visualization and dashboarding tools
  • Experience in GIS preferred
  • Familiarity with utility operations
  • Preferred industry background: Utilities Energy Electrification Gas/electric operations Infrastructure Energy efficiency Decarbonization
Education Requirements
  • BA/BS Degree in Computer Science Engineering or other related field or equivalent work experience
