Senior Network Engineer

General Summary

Performs complex technical support of local metropolitan and wide area networks and cloud-based networks to include planning designing evaluating and selecting operating solutions

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)

• Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers routers switches firewalls remote access systems and network management systems.
• Design support and manage a multi-zone network architecture.
• Monitor network connectivity and ensure high quality data transmission.
• Analyze local and wide area network systems to include testing.
• Resolve complex interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms.
• Configure communication media with routers switches firewalls and other devices.
• Configure routine systems to user environments.
• Participate in planning researching evaluating designing and developing plans for network systems.
• Provide technical support to various departments and users.
• Provide Windows and Linux systems administration support.
