Job Title: Senior Network Administrator
Responsibilities of the Senior Network Administrator
EDC Consulting LLC (EDC) is seeking candidates for a full-time Senior Network Administrator onsite in Radford this position you will focus on the implementation and sustainment of switches routers firewalls load balancers and network management tools in a datacenter environment supporting two separate DoD networks. Your responsibilities will include network management analysis troubleshooting developing and maintaining local operating procedures and policies developing and maintaining network automation and scripts and monitoring the ongoing operation of the network.
The Senior Network Administrator will:
- Implement and sustain switches routers firewalls load balancers and network management tools.
- Perform network management analysis and troubleshooting.
- Develop and maintain local operating procedures and policies.
- Develop and maintain network automation and scripts.
- Monitor the ongoing operation of the network.
- Train junior team members.
- Implement and maintain security management strategies.
- Develop project documentation including standard operating procedures project plans and network diagrams.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree with 10 years of related work experience or Bachelors degree with 12 years of related work experience.
- 5 years of Network Engineering experience.
- 5 years of configuring and maintaining switches routers firewalls load balancers and network management tools.
- Experience with network management analysis and troubleshooting tools.
- Experience with Data Center Management.
- Ability to train junior team members.
- Excellent interpersonal teamwork analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in implementing and maintaining security management strategies (DISA STIGs experience preferred but not required).
- Computing Environment (CE) Certification Professional Level or higher (i.e. Cisco CCNP Cisco CCNP Datacenter Juniper Palo Alto F5 etc.).
- CompTIA Security Certified
- Active Security Clearance
