Position Overview
Pantheon Data is actively seeking a highly motivated Senior-Level Marine Electronics Engineer with experience in Exterior Communications Systems to support the United States Coast Guard (USCG)s Ship Design Team in Washington DC. An ideal candidate will have prior experience developing and integrating systems involving electromagnetic energy transmission for purposes including sensor processing remote sensing communications guidance and control information processing navigation and defense applications.
Responsibilities
- Apply knowledge of and experience with engineering principles and techniques to develop and evaluate moderately complex technical reports related to application of C5I systems onboard USCG ships.
- Review and evaluate the effect of new and/or modified electronics on overall system performance.
- Review and adjudicate system design specifications test requirements Departures from Specification (DFSs) Request for Waiver (RFW) Engineering Changes (ECs).
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelors degree in System Architecture Electronics Electrical Marine Engineering or another relevant technical engineering or a marine discipline from an ABET-accredited institution.
- At least six (8) years of recent relevant professional experience developing and integrating systems involving electromagnetic energy transmissions for sensor processing remote sensing communication guidance and control information processing navigation and defense applications.
- Familiarity with USN USCG ABS and/or commercial ship design rules and regulations.
- Proficient with common productivity software.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook Word Excel SharePoint and PowerPoint.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Masters degree in System Architecture Electronics Marine Engineering or another relevant technical engineering or marine discipline from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Prior experience with DoD ACAT I or DHS Level I shipbuilding programs.
- Additional certifications such as PMP DHS Systems Engineering Certification or DHS Program Management Certifications.
Clearance Requirements
U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
Work Location: Hybrid - USCG HQ (DHS St. Elizabeths Campus in D.C.) (at least 3 days/week)
Alternate telework schedules or work locations may be considered for exceptionally qualified candidates.
Travel:Up to 10% travel to CONUS locations is anticipated for ship checks.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $90000 - $110000. This is not however a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather salary will be set based on experience geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
