  • 3rdShift Starting Pay: $29.38/hour

As Senior Manufacturing Support at Caterpillar Inc. you will directly support Manufacturing Engineers and assembly on the plant floor through the design and documentation of layout tooling fixtures handling systems safety and ergonomics and other duties as assigned.

There are 3 IPV Planner positions available on 3rd Shift - 1 position for PINpoint support 1 position for PSPS/Fluid fill/AC charge support and 1 for Online IPV/Back of Plant support. There are 2 Assembly Planner positions available on 3rd Shift - 1 for East Line and 1 for West Line.

Job duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Troubleshoot IPV process equipmentsoftwareand related machine issues.

  • Create tool lists for assembly.

  • Provide tooling support to Compact Track Loaders (CTL) Assembly Line as needed.

  • Develop final work orders that detail processing steps and proceduresidentifiedcomponent parts specifies technical aspects of part installation or application andidentifiestooling or fixturesrequiredfor production.

  • Performs changes and updates to standard work schedules and other relevant assembly procedures based on Engineering/Assembly/Quality input.

  • Follows andutilizesCaterpillar Production System principles of 5S Continuous Improvement Idea Reporting Waste Elimination and Standard Work.

  • Relies on independent decision-making and problem solving to complete job tasks.

  • Mustmeet deadlines.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work.

  • Use Engineering prints and release notices to develop production operation sequences and documents in GENEO.

  • Develop layouts using CADsystemsandidentifymaterial locations.

  • Utilizes systems such as CAD GENEO and Team Center.

  • Provide summariesofleadership.

  • Contributing team member

Basic Requirements:

  • Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.

  • Communication:Good communicationskills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and explain technical concepts.

  • Detail-Oriented: Meticulous attention to detail when performing maintenance troubleshooting and documentation.

  • Proficient computer skill with experience in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint

  • Must be able to function as part of a team willing to be multi-trained andmaintaina safecleanand orderly work area.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.

  • Ability to perform repetitive operations.

  • Ability tolift upto 35 lbs.

Top Candidates will also have:

  • Intermediate level (can train others)of knowledge of Standard Assembly tools and their applications

  • At least Beginner/Novice (Some exposure/still learning) ofproficiencyin New Product Introduction (NPI):

  • At least 3 years ofexperience workingin a manufacturing environment

  • At least 1 year of experience in Project Management

  • Expert level ofproficiencyin recognizing or describing the mechanical functions and specifications of products and/or parts.

  • Expertlevel ofproficiencyworking with Standard Operating Procedures or Standard Work.

  • Advancedlevel ofproficiencyin reading and interpreting blueprints and geometrics

  • A basic understanding of AutoCAD

  • 2 or 4 yr. technical degree (. Technology Industrial or Mechanical Engineering)

  • Operations/Industrial Planning Experience

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong math backgroundAdvanced Computer and Caterpillar Systems Knowledge
