eBays Customer Support Platform organization is seeking a highly qualified Senior Engineering Manager. This leader will guide strategic engineering initiatives passionate about platform modernization AI-enabled transformation and driving outstanding performance across key customer support systems.

This leader will help evolve long-standing enterprise platforms into scalable cloud-native connected and intelligent systems. These systems improve customer experience operational efficiency and agent productivity worldwide.

The role requires a technically strong engineering leader with deep experience in distributed systems modern full-stack development enterprise architecture and large-scale engineering execution. The ideal candidate combines strong technical depth with organizational leadership multi-functional influence and the ability to lead high-performing engineering teams through complex transformation programs.

This position will partner closely with development product development project coordination IT operations data and business representatives across global teams while helping build long-term platform and technology strategy.

This role also requires a strong technology evangelist who can champion AI-enabled development methodologies engineering efficiency improvements observability practices reliability in production environments operational excellence and platform accuracy across the organization.

Required Qualifications

• 12 years of software engineering experience with significant experience leading engineering teams and large-scale platform initiatives.

• Strong hands-on technical expertise in modern full-stack application development.

• Strong experience designing and building scalable APIs microservices distributed systems event-driven architectures and modern frontend technologies such as React..

• Deep knowledge of software architecture system scalability reliability resiliency observability operational governance and engineering excellence.

• Experience influencing architecture and technical strategy across teams or organizations.

• Experience working with globally distributed engineering and business teams across multiple time zones.

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including location skills and experience.
