Senior Linux Systems AdministratorRemote

We are seeking a Senior Linux Systems Administrator to manage maintain and optimize enterprise Linux environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for system administration performance tuning automation security troubleshooting and ensuring the reliability and availability of critical infrastructure.

• Install configure administer and maintain Linux servers and operating systems.
• Monitor system performance availability and capacity to ensure optimal operation.
• Perform system upgrades patching and security hardening.
• Manage user accounts permissions file systems and access controls.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware software networking and operating system issues.
• Implement and maintain backup recovery and disaster recovery solutions.
• Automate administrative tasks using shell scripting Python or configuration management tools.
• Manage virtualization and container platforms as required.
• Support high-availability clustering and load-balancing environments.
• Collaborate with application network cloud and security teams.
• Maintain system documentation operational procedures and technical standards.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and industry best practices.
• Participate in on-call support and incident response activities.

• 5 years of Linux system administration experience.
• Strong experience with Linux distributions such as:
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
  • CentOS
  • Ubuntu
  • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES)
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Linux kernel processes and system services
  • Networking protocols (TCP/IP DNS DHCP SSH NFS)
  • Storage management and file systems
  • System monitoring and performance tuning
• Experience with scripting and automation using Bash Shell Python or Perl.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible Puppet or Chef.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware KVM or Hyper-V.
• Experience with Docker Kubernetes or containerized environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or GCP.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Nagios Zabbix Prometheus Grafana or Splunk.
• Experience with security hardening and compliance frameworks.
