The Senior Information Technology Business Systems Analyst is the lead level class in the Information Technology (IT) Business Systems Analyst series. Incumbents in this class serve as a technical and/or functional lead over a team of technical professional staff or a project requiring the direction of multiple staff and procurement/utilization of significant resources and provides strategic input within his/her area of specialization sets work standards for testing and implementation ensures adherence to established practices and provides technical expertise and guidance to professional technical staff while performing similar duties as staff being led.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Either: 1.A bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college or university in any accredited field.

AND

Two (2) years full-time paid technical and/or professional experience in the fields of business systems analysis applications development/implementation programming or database administration/analysis.

OR: 2.Six (6) years full-time paid technical and/or professional experience in the fields of business systems analysis applications development/implementation programming or database administration/analysis.

Note: Technical and/or professional experience that demonstrates the ability to perform duties above the required three (3) years of full-time paid experience in the fields of business systems analysis applications development/implementation programming or database administration/analysis may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis (2080 hours paid experience equal one (1) year of education).
