Senior Import Consultant

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Import Consultant who thrives in a fast-paced professional and dynamic environment. The Senior Import Consultant will be responsible for:

• Communicate clearly concisely and professionally with internal stakeholders clients government agencies and other external parties.
• Research interpret and apply U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Partner Government Agency regulations.
• Prepare well-supported analyses opinion letters compliance memoranda and client recommendations.
• Audit import entries and supporting documentation for accuracy completeness and regulatory compliance.
• Evaluate importer compliance with U.S. Customs laws and regulations identify risks and gaps and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage multiple concurrent consulting projects priorities deliverables and deadlines.
• Maintain accurate timely daily records of project activities and billable time.
• Contribute to departmental process improvements knowledge sharing and the development of effective compliance practices.
• Work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree preferred.
• Active U.S. Customs Broker license preferred.
• Minimum of five years of progressive experience in import compliance customs consulting or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to present complex regulatory matters clearly and professionally.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations and applicable Partner Government Agency requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with Microsoft Access or comparable database tools preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 25% as business needs require.
