Senior IBM MQ Engineer

Software Engineer(Upgrading IBM MQ / Azure 7 years needed with airline domain experience)

Location:Seattle Washington / Remote will work.

Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with 5-7 years of experience to join our dynamic team in Seattle Washington.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development particularly with IBM technologies.

This role requires a proactive individual who can contribute to the design development and implementation of software solutions that meet our business needs.

Responsibilities:

• Design develop and maintain software applications using IBM technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Write clean scalable and efficient code while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Debug and troubleshoot software issues ensuring timely resolution.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from planning to deployment.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance software development processes.
• Document software designs processes and technical specifications for future reference.

Mandatory Skills:

• Proficiency in IBM technologies (e.g. IBM Cloud IBM Watson IBM Db2).
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java Python or C#.
• Experience with software development methodologies (Agile Scrum).
• Solid understanding of database management and SQL.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
• Experience with front-end technologies (e.g. HTML CSS JavaScript).
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git).
• Understanding of cloud computing concepts and services.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field.
• 7 years of professional experience in software development.
