Role Overview

We are seeking experienced Senior HyperV Engineers to support a largescale VMware to HyperV migration project. This role involves architecting deploying and optimizing HyperV clusters implementing automation and ensuring secure integration with enterprise systems. Candidates must be highly skilled in virtualization technologies Windows Server environments and automation scripting with the ability to travel extensively to deliver project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and architecture alignment for VMware to HyperV migration.

• Deploy and manage HyperV clusters with Failover Clustering.

• Implement SCVMM Windows Admin Center (WAC) and configure virtual networking (VM switches VLANs QoS).

• Develop PowerShell scripts to automate deployments workflows and monitoring.

• Optimize HyperV host performance and resolve complex tier3 hypervisor issues.

• Implement and maintain HyperV replicas and disaster recovery strategies.

• Collaborate with Active Directory and Cybersecurity teams to ensure secure integration of HyperV nodes.

• Provide recommendations for process organizational and system improvements.

• Stay current with industry trends and apply best practices aligned with SDLC and IT standards.

• Travel up to 90% to support project deliverables.

Qualifications

• 5 years of expertlevel experience with HyperV and VMware virtualization.

• 5 years managing Windows Server environments.

• 3 years working with Cisco UCS server platforms.

• Strong knowledge of Active Directory (Entra ID DNS DHCP NPS).

• Handson experience with automation tools for HyperV cluster deployments.

• Advanced PowerShell scripting skills.

• Excellent communication interpersonal and customer service skills.

• Ability to multitask under aggressive timelines and highpressure situations.

• Professional demeanor with strong organizational and confidentiality standards.

Preferred Skills

• HyperV/Windows Server certifications.

• Experience with InfrastructureasCode (Terraform Chef Puppet Ansible).

• Hybrid deployments (e.g. Azure Arc).

• GitHub version control.

• Linux systems administration.

• Experience with Pure Storage Veeam and enterprise monitoring tools (AppDynamics SolarWinds).

• Hybrid cloud computing (Azure/AWS).

• Hospitality industry server technology experience.

Physical Demands

• Light to medium equipment lifting and carrying.

• Standing for extended periods during deployments.

• Driving between sites and working at ship construction sites (dry docks).
